iPod / Audio Player notes: Movitos does NOT change the device in any way because it does not run ON the player. The audio player remains exactly the same in its functionality. Movitos can be run from most devices which can function as mass storage devices.

Both a free community version exist and a paid one with priority support, and general hand-holding for those trying out Linux. Importantly, it includes a very easy to use firewall frontend called , for your Internet security. Light, yet powerful! The current version is a compressed image of 455MB, containing 1.1 GB of programs and files. It fits on a 512MB USB drive, or CD-ROM. There will be a CD and a USB version, the CD will be available as a free download courtesy of the nice people at dotsrc.org (formerly sunsite.dk).
- Note, this is an unencrypted music DVD shown playing in this screenshot. Due to patent issues, there is currently no legal way to play encrypted DVDs on Linux. You can of course play the DVDs you have created yourself from your home movies or recorded off TV, since these are unencrypted. Currently all DVD players on Linux are free software and have not paid for the necessary license of this patented technology. If some company were to sell a desktop DVD player and pay a license for DVD decryption technology, then there may be a legal way in the future. Hence, Movitos does *not* support decryption of DVDs.
